Models
Models are mostly descriptive, sometimes they are simply metaphors and sometimes we can derive principles or guidelines from them. The two models on this page are just that. 'The Hero's Journey' (after Campbell) is the universal cycle and the stages of development and maturing which an individual (the hero) or - why not? the brand, the organization - go through, over and over. We have drawn 'The Narrative Universe' to illustrate the development of an organizational story or a (new) vision during change (and development) trajectories. Both models are not a recipe for success, but include useful elements and tools during these processes. Here rules play a minor role to give room to emotions, subjective experiences, imagination and creativity. The result is an authentic and compelling story.
